The Golfing Subculture

Most beginners in the game of golf have plenty of enthusiasm and grit, but lack the basic fundamentals of golf-swing procedures. The beginner is generally accompanied by dread, doubt and overzealousness. The sing thought, which is the facet of the swing used to mediate on to maintain focus, is not quite there yet.

Fortunately, like every other activity or skill, the more you practice golf, presumably the correct way, the faster you?ll become accomplished. To become a fixture in the golfing subculture, the golfer must understand the terms as well as the jargon of golf. For example, a handicap is the number of strokes over par a golfer is normally expected to achieve for 18 holes. In other words, a player with a handicap of 16 is expected to shoot 88 on a par 72 course (16 strokes over par).

There certainly a golfing subculture when it pertains to golf accessories. For example:

- Covers for golf irons
- Plastic tubes that can be placed in the golf club bag to prevent shafts from clanging
- Tripod golf tees for when the ground is very hard
- Golf watches to keep score
- Rubber suction ball cups that allow lifting of the ball from hole without bending or straining most golf aficionados find these golf accessories to be quite tacky and unnecessary, although these items are inundated in all the classified adverting sections of the golf magazines. Accessories are not cool at all, according to most real golfers.

The most suitable golf bags are Spartan; at most and usually contain the barest of essentials:

- Approximately six golf balls
- A few wooden golf tees
- Several gloves
- A rain suit
- Pitch ? mark repair tool
- A few, small foreign coins for markers
- no more than three pencils
- A cool, leather small bag for wallet, money clip, car keys, rings, loose change and more

The golf bag should also have a towel (full-size) that hangs from the strap. The towel is used to dry off and clean the club heads. It?s crucial to keep a spare towel in the bag. That way, in the event of rain, there?s no such thing as too many towels. Headcovers should only be used on woods or metal wood clubs. Golfers have an assortment from which to choose. The key to a successful golfer is organization. Although this is a very laid back sport, it is intense. A person must be focused on what they are doing. It is also important that a person is comfortable in their golf attire as well.
