Ways to Appear Cooler
Many people do not have the pleasure of being thought of as one of the popular kids in school and they spend the rest of their lives trying to make themselves cool, but instead of looking to what is cool, they buy all sorts of things they think will make people thing they are cool.
Cars, a fast sports car is the most common thing people buy to make them selves more cool. Most people do not go out and investigate the car that has the least amount of reported problems or is the most fuel efficient car they want a car that looks, fast and intimidating.
Fashion: Some people think that being cool means spending all your money on expensive clothes just because they are the latest fad. The problems with fads is that once you get into them so is everyone else, and to be cool you have to be a leader and not a follower.
Music: People who are looking to improve their image in certain social groups will spend the time finding out what music is hip with those people and will adopt that music as their favorite music, in an attempt to make others think they are cool.
Online and Casino Gambling: gambling has become a very popular thing in recent years and with Poker shows popping up on all the TV channels, many people think it is cool to go to the casinos dressed up like famous poker players, including vests with patches from sponsors. As un-cool as dressing like a professional poker player may be playing casino games like Craps, Poker and Blackjack may be cool, games like Sic Bo, Keno and slot machines are not cool unless you hit a Multi Million Dollar jackpot.
Accessories: Thanks to Hip Hop many people think that if you want to be cool you must have lots of gold and silver, and when it comes to Bling, bigger equals cooler. But for the most part these people spend thousands on these pieces of jewelry that makes them look stupid.
Personal Appearance, many feel that how they look determines how cool they are. These people will spend hours a day working out and are always dieting to try and keep themselves in the best possible physical shape to try to make them cool.
But the truth is that cool is not about what you have and how you look it is about who you are, and if you are choosing your car, your clothes, your music and anything else so that other people will believe you are cool and not because you enjoy these things then as cool as you may think you are, is in direct proportion to how cool you are not.
People who are cool if asked do not care about being cool they just want to be themselves, and if people think this is cool it is because most people are followers an they will cling onto a fad because everyone else is doing it, and historically people that were cool were leaders and not followers.
So if you are really looking to be cool then the best advice is to just be yourself. Some people will find you cool for living life on your own terms.
