Jump Start Your Life Again
Often feel like one day is running into the next? Has the excitement been drained out of you? My friend, it is time to find a bit of inspiration and get things going again.
If you are in the dull drums, getting things moving again is rarely about one big event. Instead, it is more about finding little things to break your daily habit. You will be surprised how even small things can do the trick.
There is an old axiom about life going on all around us, yet we don?t notice. If you get caught up in the repetition of your life, it can often become pure drudgery. You need to open your eyes to the world.
So, where can you find inspiration in your daily life? Well, there is no universal answer. Remember, inspiration is unique to the person involved. That being said, what about the following.
1. Refuse to procrastinate.
2. Instead of being cautious, plan on saying yes to something new at least once a day.
3. Vow to stop avoiding things because of embarrassment.
4. Laugh at yourself.
5. Make a list of 100 things you want to do before you die. Tape it to the mirror in your bathroom. Work towards accomplishing the list each and every day.
6. Kiss your spouse or partner.
7. Call a brother or sister to reminisce and laugh.
8. In the shower, clear you mind and enjoy the hot water.
9. Acknowledge you are in a rut.
10. Grab a friend and go go-carting.
11. Learn to meditate.
12. Try a yoga class. You will feel better and meet new people.
13. Realize you can do it if you want to.
14. Hey, even George Bush became president. If he can, what can you accomplish?
15. Do a search on YouTube for ?running bear? and watch the video. If you don?t double over in laughter, see a doctor immediately.
16. Stop worrying about what you cannot control.
17. Clean your bathroom. For some reason, you will always feel better.
18. Write a poem.
19. Read a biography on Mother Teresa.
As with any list other than one for a cooking recipe, this is a guide not an absolute. The trick is to realize the list represents the idea of moving beyond your routine. You can do anything you want, so long as it is not part of your routine. So, what are you waiting for?
