Presell Pages Can Boost Affiliate Revenues

Finding a website or blog owner who wouldn't mind making a little extra cash from their online efforts is practically impossible. With tools such as on-site advertising, product sales and even affiliate programs available, it is often possible to earn some serious money. Although all of these options can and do pay off, they tend to have a fatal glitch. They almost always require visitors to a site to act in order for them to pay off.

If affiliate programs in particular are to produce a return, a website or blog visitor has to click on a link, visit and new site and then they might even have to buy something or sign up for something. Increasing the odds for success often involves the original site's ability to draw attention to the ads or program links.

While there is no denying that affiliate links can produce revenue, they simply don't always perform. The reality is external links take readers away from one site and send them to another. The responsibility for closing the deal tends to rest on the affiliate program site. If a program site isn't up to snuff, is poorly designed or doesn't provide enough information, the opportunity to make money tends to evaporate.

There are some very easy methods website and blog owners can employ to inspire readers to act while increasing their odds to make money. One of the best things a referring site owner can do is create their own dedicated presell pages. All a presell page needs to do to be effective is provide basic information about the affiliate program's product or service. These pages are hosted on the referring site and are meant to inspire action on the part of readers. This method involves avoiding placing affiliate links in blog articles, content, chat forums and even ads. Instead, they are woven into copy on the presell page itself.

Website and blog owners who create distinct presell pages are likely to notice some very big benefits. These pages can be leveraged to a site owner's advantage to even help create or boost other streams of income, as well. The way this is accomplished often comes from a presell page's ability to draw in traffic via search engines. Since these pages tend to focus on a particular product or service and they happen to be keyword intense, they can manage to produce very good ranking results. This can, in turn, increase traffic and potential revenue.

Two other major perks of using these pages instead of sending traffic directly to affiliate sites exist. If the presell page or pages are well written, relevant and offer frank information about the product or service in question, trust can be built. This trust can extend to the site as a whole. It is even possible to capitalize on the trust a site already has with its followers when presell pages are added. The other benefit is that these pages are much better to leave as links in blog posts, chat forums, e-mails and other online locations. Rather than spamming affiliate links, using presell page links just looks more professional. Another benefit is the ability to link to these pages in future content. They create fantastic reference points for related content.

Whipping up pages to presell products or services isn't terribly involved. One of the best ways to go is to simply creating a new page, writing a review or endorsement and then making sure a link to the presell page is very visible on the site. A special recommendations section or nice looking banner ad can work wonders here.

When creating these pages, there are a few basic rules to follow. They include avoiding hard selling. Be honest about the product and try to present both the good and the bad if they exist. Also, make sure to include the actual affiliate link a few times, but avoid the use of other links. Consider cloaking the links and do make sure the copy is relevant, fairly short, easy to read and does offer solid information. This means bullet points, subheads, keyword phrases and so on. The biggest thing when writing these pages is to remember to make sure they tell why a reader should be interested. They need to know what's in it for them.

Presell pages are not "required" to earn money from affiliate programs. They can boost chances for income potential, however. When site owners carefully review and understand the products and services they tout on their sites, informative presell pages can make a really big difference in enticing visitors to respond and act.
