Getting your business quickly out into the market

Public Relation made easy

1. Communication with the public through your services and your products

Public relation always happens through the offers, that is which you already do. For these offers public relation is done, through different methods: handbills, stickers, brochures, cold calls and the like. These offers determine the picture of your business - how the public views you. Which offer is put out is extremely important.

Some people like to occupy themselves with their descending products and have systematically build a negative attitude for themselves and the public over the past years. The consequence is that the person or the business becomes known through its negative-news.

Clear your offer-palette and base your systematic public relations on it, for that reason you may want to make a four field matrix: rising products, descending products, cash cow and a star-product.

Descending products are offers that have a frustrating resonance. Less and less business is happening in that area. Save your time by abolishing or revising them sooner than later. That will save you time and energy as well.

So called rising products are offerings or new development, which will lead up to heavy resonance. Much advertisement is necessary "to get the ship going." Which mistake, applied by businesses owners, can we see here? Way to often do they apply the rising products and services with a mediocre intensity and use the similar strategy of the introduced offers. Introduced offers I name milk-cows here. In the result the representation becomes diffuse, when the new development - the product to push - is not properly put out. That means, give the rising products the needed amount of focused advertisement.

Cash cows are introduced products and offers. They run more or less by themself. A business with too little engagement in cash cows will look drained and loses the nice radiation on his palette of offers. Why does this happen? Much to much energy is needed to run a one-shot-only new-development business.

Look at it this way. In order to do effective public relation a good management is basic.

Even more management-qualities are asked for the star-product. Such a product usually is not existing at all, because the creativity of the entrepreneur and co-workers is wasted through the work on descending products, new-developments.

1. Restrict yourself on one star-product. Then, do a bulk of the public relation on that one alone. 2. Establish some cash cows with an easy going campaign-program. 3. Get rid of descending products or if you think they could get up easily - re-structure them quickly. 4. Keep two or three new-developments (rising products) in your pipeline and give constant public relation and advertisement to them, so they can become new milk-cows in your portfolio.
